Andy Krieger is the senior vice president for bp’s Gulf of Mexico and Canada region, one of the largest deep-water production businesses in the world. The region is an important part of bp’s resilient hydrocarbons business, which is a key pillar in the company’s transformation into an integrated energy company.
Andy has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the energy industry. Prior to his current role, he served as senior vice president for bp’s global P&O wells organization for six years leading the organization through a significant safety improvement journey, while developing a diverse and global team.Before that, Andy held a variety of leadership positions in the wells function, including vice president of wells for the Gulf of Mexico region and vice president of technical functions.
Andy is chairman of the board of directors of bp Exploration & Production and is a member of the bp America board of directors. He is on the American Petroleum Institute (API) Upstream Committee and a member of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) Executive Committee. Andy serves on the board of directors for the Energy Education Foundation and he is a member of the University of Houston Energy Advisory Board. He is also the executive
leader for bp’s US headquarters in Houston and is the executive sponsor for bp’s Working Families business resource group. Andy earned a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of
Wyoming. He lives in Houston, TX with his wife Kimberly and their two daughters.
