Henry Braun has contributed to community by sitting on several local and regional volunteer and professional boards and committees, including the Abbotsford Airport Authority, Abbotsford Police Board, Abbotsford Economic Development Commission, Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia, and the Regional Transportation Advisory Committee. In 2011, Henry was elected as city councillor in the City of Abbotsford, and in both 2014 and 2018 was elected as mayor. During his two terms as mayor, Henry led the City to achieve four distinct pillars: fiscal discipline, organizational alignment, complete community, and a vibrant local economy.
