Izwan Ismail is the President & CEO of PETRONAS Canada based in Calgary, Alberta. He was previously the company’s CFO where he led its financial and strategic planning activities and was also responsible for the organization's commercial and marketing functions. Izwan brings more than 25 years of experience in the industry, including in financial operations, corporate finance, strategic planning, business development and treasury. He has previously worked in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Singapore, and London. Izwan began his career with Arthur Andersen and has held successive senior roles within the PETRONAS Group of companies. Prior to moving to Canada, he was the Senior General Manager and Executive Assistant to the President & Group CEO of PETRONAS in Malaysia. Izwan has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is also a certified accountant.
