María Ángeles Romero Vázquez is R&D-Head of Fundamental Chemistry at Cepsa's Research Center. This cross-cutting department generates the technical knowledge related to catalytic processes and digitalization tools demanded by Cepsa's business units to work towards net zero emissions. She graduated in chemical engineering from Complutense University in Madrid and holds an MBA degree. She has more than 10 years experience in the refining area. She has leaded several projects (national and European funding) in which the selection of new catalytic technologies and raw materials have been a driving force to get low carbon solutions while achieving climates agreements. She belongs to the Spanish Committee WPC Young Professionals, WPC mentoring program and Spanish Society for Catalysis (SECAT).
