Dr. Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at the University of Alberta. His research is focused on design & analysis of sustainable energy systems and NetZero transition pathways for Canada. He also works with the Transition Accelerator and Edmonton Hydrogen Hub, conducting systems level analysis of a new hydrogen value chain in Alberta. Dr. Khan has a PhD in Material Science and Engineering and has spent the last 10 years working across the value chain of hydrogen and clean technology development, spanning material synthesis and characterization, reactor design, pilot demonstrations and system level analysis.
