HE Oscar Vera-Gargurevich

Engineer Oscar Vera Gargurevich, Minister of Energy and Mines of Peru . He is a Chemical Engineer, graduated from the National University of Trujillo. He holds an MBA from The University of Calgary - Haskayne School of Business, and a Master's Degree in Global Business and Energy Management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has more than 39 years of experience in the Oil Industry, with extensive experience in management and leadership positions in Petroperu, working in the refineries of Talara, Conchan, Iquitos, and the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline. Between 2021-2022, he was a member of Petroperu's Board of Directors, as a representative of the workers, in addition to serving as Corporate Manager and responsible for the management of the commissioning and operation of the New Talara Refinery. Since December 2022, he has been Minister of State in the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
