Dr. Senthilkumar Thangaraj completed his undergraduate and master's in chemistry from The American College, Madurai. Dr. Senthilkumar moved to CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, for his doctoral degree in polymer chemistry in 2015. After a brief stay at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science (ICCAS) Beijing as a PIFI postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Senthilkumar moved to CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum as a Scientist and Assistant Professor in the Chemical and Material Science division in 2019 to present. Dr. Senthilkumar's research interests include designing and synthesizing conjugated polymers, chemo and biosensors, stimuli-responsive materials, drug delivery, fluorescence imaging and therapy, and 3-D printing thermoplastic polymers. Dr. Senthilkumar has authored over 30 international publications, 5 US patents, and one book chapter. He serves as a reviewer for ACS, RSC, and Elsevier journals. He is also a lifetime member of the Society of Polymer Science, India.
