Tom was appointed Enbridge’s Senior Vice President, LP Strategic Projects & Partnerships in April 2023. In this role, Tom builds on his previous experience with large-scale energy infrastructure projects such as Northern Gateway and Line 3 Replacement to further expand and develop Enbridge’s industry leading approach to Indigenous economic participation.
During more than two decades with Enbridge, Tom has held numerous roles both within and outside the Legal department at Enbridge, including Senior Vice President & General Counsel and leading the Corporate Law and Liquids Pipelines legal functions before being appointed to his current role. He has extensive experience supporting Enbridge’s M&A activities, financing, ethics & compliance, international, incident management, major project development, and strategic litigation.
Tom was appointed King’s Counsel in 2022 and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Association of General Counsel of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Tom is also a Board member of the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
Tom’s education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary as well as an MBA and a law degree from the University of Alberta. Tom clerked at the Alberta Court of Appeal and completed his articles and practiced with Stikeman Elliott before joining Enbridge’s Legal department.
