Tomonori Hasegawa is a Discipline Lead for Reservoir Engineering at Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd (JAPEX). He has over fifteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a reservoir engineer. He supervises reservoir modeling of multiple conventional oil and fractured gas-condensate reservoirs. He develops in-house tools for assisted history matching and data assimilation, and applies Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques on reservoir modeling to accelerate and optimize reservoir management. He received his B.E. and M.Eng. from Geosystem Engineering at The University of Tokyo.
