Tore M. Løseth was appointed Country Manager for Equinor Canada in January 2023 and is based in St. John’s, NL. Tore comes to the role with more than 20 years’ experience in Equinor, starting his career as a geologist after graduating from the University of Bergen with a Ph.D. in Sedimentology.
Tore has held several management positions at Equinor, including Vice President and Senior Vice President roles for Exploration in the North Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, and Equinor’s international onshore activities. In 2020, Tore served as acting Executive Vice President for Exploration and member of the Corporate Executive Committee. Most recently, Tore held the position of Country Manager for Russia and Senior Vice President Exploration and Production for Russia and Azerbaijan, prior to Equinor’s exit of our Russian business activities in 2022.
