Vinod Kumar is currently working as Manager (R&D) in Corporate Research & Development Centre, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Greater Noida (India) since 2016. He completed his Master in Technology in Petroleum Refinery Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (India) in 2009. He received a prestigious DAAD Scholarship during his masters to perform research in RWTH Aachen, Germany. Later, he was awarded Marie Curie Fellowship between 2010 – 2013 for research as Early Stage Researcher in Laboratory for Chemical Technology, Gent University, Belgium. During this project, he extensively worked on microkinetic model development for various reactions and acted as lead developer for the in-house tool, the microkinetic engine. His current areas of research include process development, kinetic modeling, and process modeling for downstream processes in the oil and gas sector. He has more than 12 years of research experience in total. He has worked at research centers of two major oil refineries in India and other research institutes in Europe.
