Ministerial Round Table: Is the World on Track to Reach Net-Zero Emissions on Time?.

Ministerial Round Table
It is evident that the world is not on track to reach net-zero emissions on time to meet the ambitious climate targets set out in the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement aims to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Achieving this requires global efforts to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century.
Many countries were not yet on track to meet their individual targets for emission reductions, and the collective efforts fell short of what was required to limit global temperature rise effectively.
