Calgary’s many historical buildings offer memorable settings for events or meetings, from the top of a tower to an authentic Western outpost. Here’s just a sampling of what you’ll find.

CALGARY TOWER

GLENBOW MUSEUM

Located next to the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre in downtown Calgary, the Glenbow is one of the largest museums in Canada. Boasting a museum, art gallery, library and archives, it houses more than one million artifacts and some 28,000 works of art in its vast collections.
Many of those pieces are linked to the people
and history of Western Canada.

HERITAGE PARK

One of Calgary’s premier tourist attractions and one of North America’s largest and most
successful living history museums. Throughout the year, guests have the opportunity to interact with nearly 100 years of history. Heritage Park’s exhibits span the early 1860s fur trade to the petroleum- and automobile-dominated 1950s.

FORT CALGARY

Fort Calgary is located on 40 acres of parkland on the eastern edge of downtown Calgary. This is where the modern city of Calgary began! Explore colourful stories of Calgary’s past in the Interpretive Centre. Experience both sides of the law as you try on an authentic RCMP uniform or spend some time in our jail. Discover this National Historic Site and take a stroll around the RiverWalk to the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers.

STUDIO BELL – NATIONAL MUSIC CENTRE

Studio Bell is home to the history of music in Canada, including the country’s most impressive collection of musical instruments and sound equipment. It also includes event and performance spaces, recording studios, broadcast facilities, the famed Rolling Stones mobile recording studio, and Calgary’s famed King Eddy Hotel Performance stage and restaurant.

SPRUCE MEADOWS

Spruce Meadows boasts one of the most beautiful outdoor equestrian venues in the world and offers an incredible experience for riders and fans alike. Spruce Meadows Tournaments have been held at Spruce Meadows since 1976, with thousands of annual international spectators and local fans enjoying the action.
